Foy's Pigeon SuppliesI object to the business practices of Foy's Pigeon Supplies....and in case you think it's rare for Foy's to treat customers so poorly,
here's a different guy who dedicated an entire website to the subject: All I can say, Mr. Gagne, is thank you for proving my point. It's funny because it costs Foy's time and money to put their attention to such silly things as setting up special blocks on their server. Yet, it reveals the abundance of spite and the kind of personal character found at Foy's Pigeon Supplies and that's the reason I posted this web page. After I first exposed some of Foy's business practices, I learned how they treated other customers, including how they reacted to a woman after she complained about an unacceptably bad shipment Foy's Pigeon Supplies sent to her. Rather than remedy their mistakes, Foy's reinforced their history of fighting with unhappy customers. This story is really quite funny due to it's complete silliness. As you read it, you'll laugh and wonder, why Foy's would go to such lengths to fight with a customer. We're talking about less than $20 worth of product. I was the unlucky recipient of inferior products that Foy's Pigeon Supplies shipped to me. It wasn't my fault. It was Foy's who chose to ship such products. In the beginning it didn't seem like any big deal. In my case, I specifically requested a spiral band to match the racing homer size of band. Their web site clearly said the same thing as everyone else, namely the racing homer band size is #5. Unfortunately, Foy's bands didn't match industry standards. Spiral bands from Foy's Pigeon Supplies were too small. When I wrote to explain the problem, rather than fix the product, they changed their website. Where Foy's Pigeon Supplies once agreed with the industry, saying the AU band size is 5/16" corresponding to a #5 spiral band, they told me I should have ordered #6, like it was my fault. Foy's Pigeon Supplies CharacterWhen I complained on the phone, they blamed me and hung up. Then I complained by email, and guess what they did. They blocked my IP address from their server. On my fifth phone call, they finally agreed to remedy their problem, but then the damage was done. I was mad and the full reality of their character was clear. (as of 2/10/07 Did you know Foy's Pigeon Supplies is still blocking me on the internet? wow. All this fuss, concerning less than $20 worth of product? wow. Thank you Mr. Gagne for proving my point. ) Too Funny(2/10/07) The ranking score of this web page keeps climbing. Today I searched Yaho and found it ranked #2, just behind Foy's Pigeon Supplies. It made me laugh. As for me, I'm happy to donate my web server to help people avoid such vendors. I honestly don't know their motive for creating this kind of reputation. Is there simply more money in bigger "sizes"? Did Foy's Pigeon Supplies have inventory problems that they didn't want to remedy from their own pocket? I noticed their selection of colors is now smaller than it once was. (2/10/07 update: the color selection is even smaller yet. Some sizes are down to two color choices.) Getting Funnier(4/30/07) Foy's Pigeon Supplies isn't even ranked anymore on Google. First I searched "Pigeon Supplies" and didn't find them. Then I searched "Foy's Pigeon Supplies" and still didn't find them. I wonder if Mr. Gagne has alienated more than just his customers with these internet games he plays. Even the Foys-Sucks.com website is ranked higher than the official Foy's website. That's funny. P.S. Thanks to everyone who sent me their Foy's story.
