White Dove Release Home

White Doves

White Doves symbolize Love and Devotion, Peace and Unity.  They mate for life, and easily fly home to their nest after a release.  White Doves from the Ceremony Dove™ Service are specially bred for their flying skills, tameness, smaller size, pure white color, and natural homing instinct.  They are carefully raised to return home safely.

White doves dramatically mark important milestones of life such as weddings, funeral and memorial services, sporting events, grand openings, birthdays, anniversaries, and all manor or outdoor gatherings.  White Doves can make your occasion a truly memorable affair. Experience the awe as white doves spread their wings and fly upward, with radiant white feathers sparkling in the sky!  Our beautiful white doves rise higher and higher, circle, and head safely for home.

Our white doves are larger and stronger than a white ring neck dove.  However, being specially bred for ceremonial release, our white doves are smaller and easier to handle than white racing pigeons, traditionally used in release services.  You'll find our white doves easier to handle, providing superior photographs and memories.

Our white doves return safely home because of their built-in homing instinct.  On the other hand, ring neck doves do not return home because they do not have a homing instinct.  When released outdoors, white ring neck doves often fly only a few yards and land nearby.  They easily fall pray to cats and hawks and generally do not survive in the wild.  This is not a good way to commemorate an important milestone.  We strongly discourage the use of white ring neck doves for dove releases.  You strongly recommend white doves that are specifically bred for ceremonial dove releases.  In addition to peace of mind, white doves bred for ceremonial release will more like circle up in a spectacular display and disappear in the sky to return safely to their home.

White Doves, like all white birds, require decent weather conditions and daylight to navigate safely home.  Midday and early afternoon provide the best conditions to plan your release of white doves.
